To welcome the Spring Festival, the Chinese Department specially organized a "Narcissus Bulb Carving" activity, allowing Form 4 students to experience the refined charm of traditional culture amidst a strong festive atmosphere.
On the day of the event, teachers and students gathered together to learn how to carve narcissus bulbs by hand, appreciating the elegant beauty and symbolism of the flowers. Through this hands-on activity, students not only mastered basic skills but also gained a deeper understanding of the integration of traditional Chinese art and the aesthetics of daily life. This experience enhanced their appreciation of Chinese culture and allowed them to welcome the new year amidst the fragrance of flowers and joyful laughter.
As the flowers bloomed, the president and vice president of the Jing Society presented narcissus flowers to the school. Symbolizing purity, auspiciousness, and the joy of the new spring, these flowers convey the heartfelt wishes of the Jing Society students for the school's happiness and prosperity in the coming year.
