Chinese Studies Tea Appreciation Activity for S6

We organized a tea appreciation activity for S6 students, allowing them to experience the joy of tea culture in a relaxed atmosphere! During the event, the students learned about the six major categories of Chinese tea, the origins of tea, and the evolution of tea-drinking practices, while also exploring the etiquette of brewing tea. They personally brewed Pu’er, Da Hong Pao, and Longjing teas. By observing the changes in flavor during the brewing process and tasting the tea, they not only gained knowledge about tea culture but also cultivated their concentration and patience. At the end of the activity, each student received a pack of tea leaves to take home and brew for their parents. This pot of tea not only carries rich flavors but also conveys a heartfelt expression of filial piety.
