S1 Self-Strengthening Training Camp

The second round of the S1 Self-Strengthening Training Camp brought together students from classes 1B and 1D for an unforgettable three-day journey at The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong Bradbury Camp in Sai Kung. From Day 1 to the final farewell, our Pooi To girls demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm, resilience, and an unwavering spirit of collaboration.

Day 1 — Kickoff & Connection: The camp began with high energy as students dove into various mini-games, quickly building strong team cohesion, engagement, and mutual trust.

Day 2 — Facing Challenges Together: Filled with sweat and determination, the second day pushed students out of their comfort zones. Whether scaling the high-rope courses under the scorching sun, mastering kayaking techniques, or competing in an action-packed disc battle, the girls showed incredible grit and offered heartwarming emotional support to one another.

Final Day — The Roman Cannon Challenge: The camp culminated in a true test of ingenuity. Armed with only bamboo and rope, students autonomously divided the work, shared advanced knot-tying techniques, and successfully built and fired a Roman cannon within the time limit. Even when a rope came undone during the competition, their quick thinking, refusal to give up, and collaborative problem-solving truly saved the day.

Through this immersive experience, our Secondary 1 students deeply embraced communication, teamwork, and inclusion. In the determined eyes of our Pooi To girls, we witnessed remarkable personal growth. May they carry these newfound strengths forward and face every future challenge with renewed vigor!
