Today, our Tourism and Hospitality Studies (THS) students participated in the “THS Experiential Learning Tour 2026/27,” co-organized by the Education Bureau and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The event featured a keynote sharing by Dr. Louis Ng, Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum. Dr. Ng delivered an in-depth presentation on “Cultural Tourism Integration” and the latest development trends of “shaping tourism with culture, showcasing culture through tourism.” He also explored how Hong Kong, as an East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange, plays a critical role in alignment with national planning. The insightful sharing deeply inspired our students.
Following the lecture, students had the opportunity to take part in a series of engaging experiential activities, including a “Lacquer Fan Crafting Workshop” and the “Dining Etiquette Challenge.” Through these enjoyable and interactive sessions, they acquired practical professional knowledge beyond textbooks and successfully put learning into practice.
